On the 19th and 20th of October 2019, a group of 31 students belonging to the Interact Club of our school attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp held at Ulaga Tamil Araichi Mayyam in Tharamani, Chennai. The students were accompanied by teacher coordinators, Mrs. Vijaya Abhirami .M and Mr. David Rosario. The two day camp was organized by the Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna, RI district 3232, which is the parent club of our school's Interact Club. Two other schools were also at the camp and students were divided into various teams.
The camp included sessions on Leadership, Public Speaking, Communication, Team Work, Emergency Medical Care and First Aid, Yoga, Social Media Awareness and Personality Development. It was an amazing opportunity for the students and they indeed had an unforgettable experience. During the valedictory function, Nithya Subramaniam and Suganeshwar B. of our school delivered speeches about the camp and they were appreciated by all the Rotarians present. Nithya Subramaniam and Suganeshwar B. of 11th standard won the Best Rylarian Runner's up in the Girls and Boys categories respectively. We thank the school management, our teacher coordinators and the Rotary Club of Madras Chenna Patna for this wonderful opportunity.
